Early Bird and Day Tripper Sessions;
Transition to Night Owls (only).
Today I’m posing two questions:-
- Is there such a thing as too good an Early Biard and Day Tripper lineup?
- Was this the Best Perth Rocks Festival Early Bird and Day Tripper sessions yet?
With each band getting better I peaked at Amberdown’s devastating set and was unable to lift myself back up. Thus letting myself, and the remaining of the bands down (Reefeater, Warbirds, Illyria and the Mighty Ragdoll).
Post Amberdown realising I need nourishment since the pre-noon coffee and croissant a kebab was needed. For some reason my order keep getting bumped in the queue and as a result missed Ojay’s set (again).
I was spiritually exhausted with nothing left in my tank. Even the uplift beats and sonic waves of The Silent Deeds could not entice me to get back into the Night Owls session of this musical marathon.
So with The Silent Deeds as my soundtrack I departed the scene feeling happy but needing recovery. And with a resolve to get spiritually fitter to last the pace at next years live music epic event.
