If any band epitomises the love of playing live it has to be Electric State. A rambunctious set of attacking riffs, effervescent bass and driving drums this tight unit attack with a furry and a smile. A set of tried and trusted anthems were segmented with some new material. The newer songs seem to have a harder, more punk force edge that gathers and explodes in a frenzy of delight. This was a set where indie rock met hard rock fronted by a punk attitude of uproarious and hilarious crowd interaction. Janus the Megaphone appeared several times, barking out her frenzied commands that veered into snake eye hysteria and crossed into the never-never.
