Keep On Rollin’ - Part 1
BAND/ARTIST:
Tarot
VENUE:
Indi Bar
DATE:
1 February 2025
Young Guns Tarot opened this night of live music with energy, rock bite and passion.
A singer with the stage presence of Plant and vocals in the Geddy Lee range (Alex), they pull on the spirit of seventies and early eighties class rock and delivered a storming set. A diminutive guitarist on SG (Patrick) along with Riley riding rhythm bring up the six string attack in with gusto and blaze.
Ryan provides the staunchly solid bass, with hot sweaty runs stripping down to keep the sounds flowing.
Also a bitter sweet occasion as Olivers (drums) last gig with the band, his passion, drive and energy will no doubt be missed.
Improving with each show their set of originals, with the one cover, a majestic run through of Led Zepplin’s ‘Dazed and Confused’ that hits the mark.
Here’s hoping the drum stool will get filled.soon and they will Keep On Rollin’ on, burning bright and carrying the torch long into the night.
Editor’s Note: the rumour that Bill Shaw (Electric State) wants the drum gig so he can play ‘Moby Dick’ is a totally unsubstantiated and must be proclaimed as a falsehood.
Set List: ‘Rooster’, ‘Rock n’ Roll hound’, ‘Barking at the Walls’, ‘Heal Me’, ‘Dazed and Confused’, ‘I won’t’, ‘Butchers Creek’, ‘Have to Go’, Higher’, ‘Stains’
