Opening for local guitar legend Vdelli Art of Dysfunction nailed it in a blistering set. In front of staunch live music aficionado’s, they went into overdrive with a set of crafted hard rock blues numbers from their stunning debut album.

In a masterclass of root blues rock funk Vdelli’s trio opened themselves to the responsive gathering of live music aficionado’s with two sets in this headlining gig.

There must be something in the water in Western Australia. Since I arrived in the Wild West there has always been an undercurrent of undiscovered rock talent playing the venues around the town sound scape.
In the recent years it has exploded, and nothing was more representative that this gig.

Fresh from the recording studio following a barnstorming European Tour supporting local legend Vdelli, Art of Dysfunction officially blasted their debut album into the stratosphere at a packed house at the Stirling Arms Hotel.
Playing their brand of heavy rock blues with high energy and masterful skills this was a gig to savour as AOD devoured the night.

Grunge Barbie delighted the early bird live music aficionado’s with a set of tight indie riffing.

With a sick set of Indie rock country pop songs with attitude New Nausea pulled the standing room only crowd into dancing mode.

Heavy blues fuzz box rock fired up the standing room only mixed bunch audience into groove moves.

Late notice replacement band Slo stepped and stepped up filling the early bird slot at tonight’s gathering.

This five piece generate high octane energy, with their magnetic sounds dragging the music aficionado’s out of the bar to fill the band room it was a rousing, heart warming, rock out segue to the next band.

The Beasts of the Night came out hunting, seeking to sink their hooks into you.
