Gidgestock MUSIC FESTIVAL 2024 List
It was that time of the year again when Steve and Jo Mitcham open their property for the Gidgestock Music Festival.
With most genres of music included ranging from the rock operatic metal of Daryyra, to the indie/hard rock maddness of Electric State, to the soul and funk of Dr Soul, to the country rock of Michael Ward, to the good time dance of Coastal Drift/Moonlighters/Jet Lag, to the gentle acoustic vibes of Bev Abela and everything else in between this is a festival for music lovers.
With excellent support by the sound and light crew who volunteer their time everyone seemed to have a wonderful time. Numerous sponsors also contributed financially, in time and if effort.
Dancing and camping under the stars is always a refreshing experience, while listening to gifted musicians during the day, while avoiding this years not to harsh sun rays, is always a fun way to pass the day.
With at least three food vans offering a wide selection of culinary treats and a #greenmachine coffee van to help power you through the weekend there is not much lacking for the festival goers.
The festival profits go to the volunteer and health research organisations. This year the beneficiaries are local West Gidgeeganup volunteer Bush Fire Brigade, the Leukaemia Foundation, Shalom House, St.Barts and Zero 2 Hero mental health.
In summary another excellent event and the count down is already on for next year.
